Brand DNA: how your business sounds

Why AI copy sounds generic, how NEVYLO learns from your website, photos and answers how you really talk, and how the brand score stops anything that doesn’t sound like you from going out.

You can spot them instantly: the Instagram (soon) posts (soon) written by an AI. “We’re thrilled to present our latest project!” Stock photo, three emojis, a cloud of hashtags. They aren’t wrong. They’re nobody. And for a business that lives on trust, “nobody” is the worst thing you can be.

Brand DNA is NEVYLO’s answer to that: a brand profile that describes how your business sounds and looks, and against which every text, every image, every video (soon) and every website change is measured before it goes out.

Where the Brand DNA comes from

From three sources. First, your existing website, if there is one: tone, form of address, choice of words, colours, fonts, image style. Second, uploaded examples: photos of your work, a flyer, three emails you were happy to have written. Third, a few questions during onboarding: are you formal or casual with customers? What would you never say? What are you proud of?

Out of that comes a versioned profile: tone (e.g. “matter-of-fact, warm, no superlatives”), form of address, do’s and don’ts, colour palette, fonts, imagery (“real building sites, no stock”), typical phrases.

What the brand consistency score measures

Before every publication, NEVYLO rates the draft against the Brand DNA: is the form of address right? Do any banned phrases appear? Do colours and image style fit? Does it sound like the business or like a generator? The result is a score from 0 to 100.

You set the threshold. 85 is a good start. Below it, nothing is published: NEVYLO reworks the draft or shows it to you with a reason (“Score 71: two superlatives, formal address instead of casual”). The score is a gate, not a suggestion.

Images and videos (soon) with provenance

In NEVYLO, campaigns (soon) are made from your real photos: cropping, colour matching, text on the image in your font, variants for feed, story (soon) and video (soon). Every file has a traceable origin: which original photo, which edits. Stock material only appears if you explicitly allow it (and with Enterprise, via licensed sources).

That’s the difference between “looks professional” and “looks like us”.

The Brand DNA learns from your feedback

When you change a draft (strike the exclamation mark, replace “premium” with “proper”), NEVYLO remembers the pattern. After ten approvals it knows your preferences better than the last intern did after ten weeks. You can also just say it: “Sound a bit more personal from now on, but stay formal.”

Every change to the Brand DNA is a version. You see what changed and when, and you can go back.

A test worth doing

After onboarding, have NEVYLO draft three posts (soon) and show them to someone who knows your business, without saying where they came from. If that person can’t tell they’re not from you, the Brand DNA is done. If they can: tell NEVYLO what was missing. That’s the whole process.
